A new read for me especially since I bought a copy months ago. Now I've finally had time to read the book cover to cover, I can say that it's certainly entertaining.

Finding Audrey is about protagonist Audrey who suffers from anxiety, like a severe form of anxiety, and depression. We don't know exactly what happened but the book introduces the reader into the manic world she lives in. It's actually remarkable that her family haven't caused her more stress. But at the same time, you laugh and smile at how insane they are. It's literally like having that weird uncle every family has.

But Audrey's brother is the one whosuffers the most. He's addicted to some computer game similar to World of Warcraft, and their mother isn't a fan of that. A compulsive Daily Mail reader, she takes time to go out of her way and try and cure the poor lad of his addiction and in turn pushes the mysterious Linus into Audrey's life.

Whilst this all happens, Audrey is taking steps to get better and just be able to go back to the person she was before, or at least some version of that.

It's a magical story that I loved. I just wished we were told the full extent of what happened to her.

This has got to be one of the biggest books of the year in terms of debuts and overall.

A retelling of Arabian Nights where Shahrzad tells her husband tales to keep herself alive, Ahdieh unknowingly wrote the book that I had been waiting most of my short life for. I was blown away by such a wonderful retelling, hell I even bought a copy of Arabian Nights so I could read the stories she told in more detail. However what made the book stand out even more, was the fact the book drove away my writers block.

The Wrath and The Dawn follows the tale of Shahrzad, a sixteen year old girl who sacrifices herself to marry Khalid (a prince). The stitch however is that Khalid's brides always seem to die at sunrise which leads to a rumour that he is a cruel man etc. Shahrzad though goes into the union with intentions to kill Khalid as he killed her friend. It's one of those moments where the reader can be found on the tips of their toes wondering whether she'll succeed or not.

Nonetheless something does happen. I'm not specifying what because it's a big spoiler. But throughout the book, the reader is left gasping and hooked. Honestly. You will devour this book. It's chemically brilliant. I just couldn't put it down and when I did, I ended up buying it so I could continue to paw through this wonderful book.

I bought this awhile ago but only just finished it. Wow. Okay so this book has so many brilliant things that its made up of that I can't even think of the words to say why you should read it other than the fact it is amazing!

Okay so the book follows the story of Twylla who comes from a long line of Sin Eaters. However she's got some magical blessing that allows her to get out of her village and live in a palace and eventually marry a prince. Doesn't that sound too good to be true? That's because it is. Read this book and find out what exactly happens to our dear heroine and see how amazing this book is.

I know I love retellings of fairy tales but I found this one quite confusing. The idea of the book is fantastic, I loved that Thomas had started a what happened after she woke up. However I was annoyed more at the story itself. Of course she'd be a weak character due to confusion of who to trust and waking up with no friends and family etc. 

The ending however was much better than I thought.

Wow this book was such a fail. I was really annoyed with the weak and really unimaginative ending. Obviously Kalona gets Nyx back and his brother is a jerk we all hate but Zoey Redbird should have died! The prophercy stated she'd die but nope. She does this pitiful dramatic I'm going to die act and speech but never follows through. Such a shame.

The book series that doesn't stop growing!

There's always that one series you and your book bff love to hate and for Louise and I that's the Selection series by Kiera Cass.

My reviews love it, I did love it but now I love to bash it! Yes I am talking about outgrowing that series that you start as a naive teenager and end it as an adult or something like that. Nah the series just makes me tick.

Okay so this is a small quote I found to support myself here. America, the protagonist, enters what we know as the bachelorette and the prize is to marry a prince! It already sounds so wonderful and we've all seen a episode of the bachelorette or beauty and the geek right? So you can guess the amount of bitchiness that would go on in such a competition. The girls in this are all set apart by class structures. It's really just Hunger Games in the fight to win and survive except if they get sent home, they're still alive and booted to a higher class so it's a win-win situation. However there's a message in the books that I don't believe in. Since when is it okay for a boy, a man to say I love you to a girl, to make her think she's going ot be his best friend and eventually make her queen of their fictional land and then turn around and treat her like rubbish by leading on another girl all because she used to love another guy. It's a stupid and horrible message for girls everywhere and it makes us girls seem like we're just silly little barbie dolls all ready to be seen and not be heard.

Recently the series just published the supposedly last book in the series which was titled The One. As you can guess, it was meant to be the last of the series where we'd finally discover who will marry the prince and live happily ever after but it still contains trivial parts that made me laugh and regret pre-ordering the book. Now I've just discovered she's publishing not one but two more books in the series and that makes me sad. I just want it to be over and I can't not read these sequels, I need them in order to carry on laughing and joking about the series with my book bff

After reading If I Stay I had to read the sequel. I had to find out what happened to Mia and Adam and what had become of her since that accident.

I was amazed and a little skeptic to read it from Adam's point of view, especially when you really fall for his character in If I Stay because how could you resist him? But still he's such a great character and I enjoyed seeing the accident through his eyes and the aftermath of it. I was super shocked to see what had happened to Mia but it made sense, Gayle Forman really made it connect to the first whilst still making it  a brilliant sequel. If someone asked me which I prefer the most, I would say both. They're equally attention grabbing and beautiful books that made me cry and laugh and wish for what Adam and Mia have.

I read If I Stay a few years back and I honestly didn't like it. But now reading it as a person who has grown up a bit more and now having a better grip on reality, I love it. 

The story follows Mia and her journey on decided whether or not if she will stay in the human world or passover. It's a beautifully spiritual book that makes you love what you have in life because if you don't then you're clearly delusional. It's a tale of love, loss and shows that family isn't just blood, it's those who know you dearly and shows that a disastorous event can flock people to your side instantaneously. Oh god I'm tearing up just writing this review. That's how much this book affected me and okay so I tear up at books a lot but only Ishiguro's Never Let Me Go made me this level of emotional so just read this book and then tell me how you kept a dry eye.
