2015 YA Adaptations

2015 YA Adaptations

It's the time of the year we all know for the Award ceremonies. There's the Grammys, Oscars, Brits and a lot more where we take the time to celebrate films and music generally but there's also a lot of announcements of what films are in development, what films are aiming to be released this year and so on. Below will be a list of some of the few about to grace the cinema screen or our own tv screens depending on their box office release information.

February

20th - The D.U.F.F. - Basic YA romance. Girl with issues falls for the popular bad boy. Ends up in a friends with benefits relationship with a few bumps and curves until a happy ending.

March

20th - Insurgent - Book two in the Divergent trilogy. Tris and Four get even closer to what is actually happening in their world.

September

18th - The Scorch Trials - Book two of the Maze Runner series. I haven't read this so I can't say much but I wasn't impressed by the first book either.

October

2nd - Victor Frankenstein - Another adaptation of Mary Shelley's wonderful novel Frankenstein. This time however it's told from Igor's perspective.

November

20th - The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 - The final installment of the novels by Suzanne Collins which will either dissapoint or satisfy fans (if it follows the book with the identical ending as there are arguments for and against it) but again it's one of the most anticipated films of the year
