Twenty-Eight and a Half Wishes (A Rose Gardner Mystery Novel #1) by Denise Grover Swank

Twenty-Eight and a Half Wishes (A Rose Gardner Mystery Novel #1) by Denise Grover Swank

I just finished this about an hour ago. It was fairly entertaining. I really liked how it wasn't the atypical mystery crime novel that makes me want to rip my hair out and cry. That sounds overdramatic but it's so true.

I loved Rose, I can relate to here a lot, she's a fantastic character and so is Muffy and her sister Violet and yeah. Grover Swank did really well with this novel, I think I'll read on, I'm half there and half not but it's not a big series, only a few books long.

Yeah the books about Rose, shes's twenty eight and lives in Henryetta and her town is super small and all about the Southern hospitality etc. Her neighbour is hot and a mechanic and a cop maybe? spoilers (maybe).

I can't say much without spoiling it but read this book! You can read it for free via Amazon Unlimited!

Silent Harmony (Fairmon Riding Academy #1) by Michele Scott

Silent Harmony by Michele Scott

Totally not what I expected when reading "she is also an equine empath, someone who has the ability to read horses minds and moods" Yeah I wasn't a fan at first but I do love a good horsey book and it was great. Admittedly parts were a little iffy, a few moments of bets and boys but that's typical of the YA genre.

It's no Heartland or A Circuit but for it's story it works. There isn't as much horse info as Heartland or the actual feel of competition in A Circuit which is quite unfortunate but I am hoping the sequel will pick this up.

Immortal Prophercy (The Immortal Prophercy Saga #1) by Samantha Adams and Kay Fry

Immortal Prophercy by Samantha Adams and Kay Fry

I am a sucker for books with beautiful dresses. An example would be the Luxe series by Anna Godberson which are beautiful and incredible books! This book started a little iffy, I carried on reading it in hopes it would pick up and it did.

My first imrpession was that it was set in the past, Victorian or Georgian time but it was actually set in the present which didn't click with me until James appeared. Either way it works to be set in either time period. It's one of those books that you can still like.

I really really really enjoyed this book. It was different from vampire books, I even told my friend that when she asked is it vampires in an exasperated way and then understood that it was Twilight/Vampire Diaries or another cheesey tale of vamps. Instead it's more mature (as mature as you can get with a guy being your soulmate and over two hundred years older that your grandmother) but subtle in it's very wide field. Adams and Fry describe their vampires simply and it's enough to make you read on.

Amazon Unlimited!

So as a Kindle owner I recently discovered that you can pay £7.99 a month and read from a certain list on Amazon for free. It's pretty much a cool Netflix but for books. I, signing up for this, have finally read The Maze Runner (Even though I bought the paperback and will be hosting a giveaway for that) but also some undiscovered gems that I will soon be reviewing about once I figure out my utmost opinion of them.

But yeah join the free 30-day trial if you don't want to pay, it gives you access to plenty of books and who knows what you'll find there.

The Maze Runner (The Maze Runner #1) by James Dashner

The Maze Runner by James Dashner

I bought this book about two months ago now and I ended up using Amazon Unlimited to put the book on my kindle.

It was not worth the hype it's been getting. I found it as a boys version of Hunger Games minus a lot of the drama and emotional distraught. It was quite blah. They're in a maze, no memory of who they were previous to maze and spend their time working. It's all a little weird. Especially when the one girl arrives and they're all lke she's hot etc and they're under the age of sixteen. Yeah a twelve year old checking you out, not cool. It's almost reminiscent of Lord of the Flies minus the boys turning on each other and killing but in how they're all together etc.

Idk. It's one of those you love it or dislike it.
